This princess dresser was painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a mix of Duck Egg Blue, Louis Blue and Provence. I then distressed the dresser and finished with the Soft Wax in Clear and Dark.
The top was stained with Minwax in Dark Walnut.
A princess dresser definitely needs glass knobs; therefore, the wood knobs were changed to glass.
Before with the top sanded.
After.
Thanks for visiting!

Your dresser sure has lovely lines and I like that you didn't paint all of it (but what you painted looks fabulous!)
Looks beautiful, I love the blue and those knobs!

That looks beautiful! I did almost the exact same thing for a dresser that a friend used for a changing table. You can check it out here.

Oooooo, I like that. Nice color.
This piece of furniture is one of my all time favorite pieces. I love the color you choose and the transformation. Thanks for the inspiration!
What a great find. I usually do dark stained tops, but may have to try a lighter one now that I've seen this:)
Wonderful job! I love the curves and the color - and I like that you left the top stained. The knobs are the perfect jewelry for such a feminine piece. Well done!
I love the color and shape of this dresser! Great job!

Fabulous Color & Perfect Transformation!
This is so gorgeous Katie!! I love the warm wood with the aqua! You did such a fantastic job!
That's beautiful. I have a similar dressed (although not with such great curvy lines), that's in need of an overhall. It came to me an awful shade of green, and I gave up stripping and painted it over white. Now that I have more space to actually work on projects...I might give it another go. Love the wood top.
P.S. I came here from the A2D link party. :)
She's a beauty, thanks for linking up!
You have made her into a great beauty! Of course it helps to have great curves and great legs!
I am delighted that you linked to Potpourri Friday! Many thanks!
What a lovely transformation! The blue is beautiful, and you are yet another blogger who is convincing me that I really do need to go out and buy some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint!
Kat :)

You did such a great job on this piece. It just looks so smooth! The color is fantastic too. Love the warm wood top! The dark walnut is not as dark as I had thought it would be.
