The Garden in April

The first few weeks of spring started out very warm in Wisconsin; however, we then had a few weeks of cool weather with frosts during the night.  Here's a look at my garden during the month of April.

Wow, you've got woodruff!! I've just blogged about it - can't get it here in GB, would need to grow it myself!!

Great photographs!

Katie- I'm in love with the radial pattern on the fern photo. I have to replace all of my blue bird houses. The squirrels chewed the front doors to bits this winter. Big gaping holes! :(

I enjoyed the garden tour very much. Your plants and flowers are really beautiful and your photos show them in great detail. I love watching birds from my kitchen window and when sitting on the back porch. The close ups of your birds are wonderful. I would love to have you share your garden or whatever you chose at Your Cozy Home Party on Mon. at 8 pm. Link up and link back to my blog and you will be all set. Hope you can come. ------- Shannon

Lovely photos Katie. Some of my hosta got burned by the frost...looks terrible. I need to get down and snip out the dead fronds. Your ferns are beautiful too. I want to tell you how much I enjoy following your boards on Pinterest. You have the best taste!

What gorgeous property!! I remember picking grape hyacinths when I was younger and pretending they were berries for my wilderness stews. :P

Hi Katie,

It's SO lovely seeing your garden. Even though it's so far away, it actually looks pretty similar to ours in April. I just love this time of year - watching everything spring to life fills my heart with joy!
