White Desk

I found this desk at Goodwill and immediately fell in love with the hardware and molding on the top edge.

I stripped the top and stained it in Minwax Dark Walnut.

I painted the desk with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White and used the clear wax.

The drawer was painted with ASCP in Duck Egg Blue.

Smokey Bear gives his approval.

Hello! I am visiting from the link party at DIY design. I was so excited to see your post! I just inherited a very similar desk that I am thinking about painting white. I've never used chalk paint, but after seeing your beautiful desk, I'm going to have to give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

Smokey Bear is adorable - not not as beautiful as your desk makeover! I love how you kept the top stained, and especially like how you painted the inside of the drawers- nice touch!

What a great desk. I totally agree about the handles...they are beautiful. The rope trim is really different for a desk. It makes it so unique. Hope all is well with you...Happy Easter!

I love this desk. I have one almost identical that was painted black for sons room but he has since gone more modern with glass so it sits needing a facelift. Might have to tackle it after my shows.

You did a beautiful job! The stained top with the detailed molding is gorgeous. I think my favorite part are the blue drawers. A little bit of the unexpected makes it even prettier! I'm a new follower. :)
