I've been waiting for Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Pure White and chose this octagon table to try it.
The beautiful after.
The sad looking before.
The top was stripped and stained with Minwax Dark Walnut.
The base was painted with ASCP in Pure White, distressed and finished with the Soft Wax. Love the texture of this paint.

A classy table you did there. Love the shape too- it's not one you see alot of but is a "wow" factor to any room (IMHO)
Thanks for sharing :D
Visiting from Coastal Charm Nifty Thrifty Tue Linky Party today,
~Suzanne in NW Illinois
This turned out really beautiful! Love the shape of this table. I have not used chalk pain before...but I keep seeing it all over the place. How is it different then any other paint?
Love the sharp clean look. Nice call on the dark top.
ooooh pretty! Love the stained top and white!
I love it Katie! It's so gorgeous!
Oh Katie this is for sure a beauty. I love the dark top. I have a question...I ordered the Aubusson blue AS paint. It looks very teal and I was wondering how to make it more blue? Should I add some Old White? I think I have a sample of Old Ochre too if you think that would help. I'm disappointed. I guess I thought it was more of a navy blue. Maybe I should give up the painting thing and stick to sewing. :o)
It looks really nice! So, how do you like the pure white vs. old white?
I have been searching for a table just like this one........so give me your address and I'll be right over :) LOVE IT!
katie i love the beautiful and classic look of this piece!
This turned out gorgeous!!!! I adore white bases and dark tops. Super "Wow" and what a huge improvement!! :)
This is gorgeous! I love it. I found you from Primitive and Proper. I'm a new follower. Hope you'll follow me back!
I really love this table and the white! I haven't tried the Pure white yet in ASCP, but I'm itching to...especially after seeing this one. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
Once again, Katie, you've knocked yourself out with the Annie Sloan paint!! It looks FANTASTIC!! The cool white married with the warm dark brown is a perfect match. The table legs have some nice features in their curves, too. Great job! andrea@townandprairie
Katie, this table is so wonderfully done. I saw a close match to it today while checking on my booth at the antique mall. It looks like your before picture for $185! You did GOOD!!!
So unique...SO beautiful!!

Hi Katie, This is my 2nd attempt at this comment, so if it shows up twice - you'll know why. I am constantly impressed with the beauty of your work. You see potential in pieces that I would probably have passed up. Thanks for linking this up to Fabulous Friday! AND I so appreciated the sweet comments you leave on my blog--they make my day!
Warmly, Michelle
Just saw this post from searching "Annie Sloan white paint". This is my EXACT table that I was planning on painting the bottom white. I am so glad I saw this because now I know it will be beautiful.
