Turquoise Mirror and Thrifty Finds

I'm having one of those weeks where I've started a bunch of projects, but have only finished one small piece.  Therefore, I thought I'd share the mirror that I finished and some of my recent thrifty finds.

I painted this gold framed mirror with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a mix of Louis Blue and Provence, and then wiped off the excess to show the lovely detail on this frame.

The mirror frame before.  I just started painting it when I realized I hadn't taken a photo.  Just your basic gold frame.

Now for some of my finds.  This was listed as a military crate.

A small roll-top desk.

Another gold framed mirror.

A small secretary.  I think I might have to keep this piece.

Thanks for visiting.

Very nice finds Katie. I love what you did with the mirror. Mirrors are hard to photograph. The reflection looks like a painting. Nice shape on the secretary.

I love these pieces. One quick question, how hard is it to paint the rolltop portion of a desk? I found an old breadbox with a rolltop but have been putting off refinishing it because I'm not sure how...Thanks MB
